If you’re looking for a car to tow behind your motorhome, you may want to consider a Mini Cooper. They only weigh approximately 2500 pounds, get an average of between 28-38 mpg, and they are a blast to drive. I am soon to be 80 years young. For the past several years, my hobby has been to purchase either one-owner or low-mileage Mini Coopers that are the Cream of the Crop. The only minis I purchase are from the West Coast because they have less exposure to salted roads compared to those from the "Salt Belt" states. The first thing I do is have them inspected by a 25+ year certified Mini mechanic. If there are no major problems, we start the restoring process. I remove the wheels, brakes, and rotors and replace them with brand new factory parts. We disassemble the frontend and add a brand-new Blue Ox tow bracket which is welded to the car frame. We then connect the electrical link between your motorhome and Mini Cooper. The wiring is passed through the Mini to the rear tail lights. I can also provide and install an emergency tow brake system if your state requires them. Once this is completed, we reassemble the frontend and assemble the connector kit.
